We are back! The PGA Tour crowned its second winner in the return to sport following the COVID-19 “break”. Webb Simpson was not the only winner this week in Hilton Head. Here are our superlatives for the RBC Heritage.
Best Use of Tartan…
What an absolutely dynamite jacket. That trophy is something else too. Zoom in an check out that puppy.
Brooks Koepka is BACK!
Koepka finished seventh thanks to carding a final round 65. He was in 60s all four rounds and posted his first top-10 since winning the WGC in Memphis last July. During the final round he had TWO eagles on his front nine. He drove the 332-yard par-4 and hit it to three feet.
Bubba Watson in a runaway. Dude was a regular chatty Kathy this weekend despite not being in contention at all.
On Saturday, he had quite the back-and-forth with Rory McIlroy when a crab was on his ball in the bunker on the par-3 17th.
Yesterday, Bubba and playing partner Wesley Bryan had a little side action going on.
Let’s go stroke play then. Absolute savage. In case you were wondering, Bubba won the match 3&2.
Most Relatable Bunker Shot…
Abraham Ancer had a ridiculous week ball striking. The guy hit 65-of-72 GIR. That’s unreal. Despite that, he still was able to have the shank of the week.
I’ve been there, bud. Basically every approach shot I hit into a par-5. He followed that up by knocking it to 17 feet.
Tyrrell Hatton heard me talking about how no one talks to their ball like Jordan Spieth and he said hold my beer. Hatton is an FREAKING CHATTERBOX on the links. He was standing over a putt for birdie as the horn blew and players were taken off the course yesterday.
I feel you, dude. I feel you.
Bryson Moment of the Week…
This is fast becoming a Bryson DeChambeau appreciation site. The guy is everywhere. Look at this GIF.
Also, because I can’t post just one…Me walking to the first tee after putting on a stripe show at the range.
What did I miss? Let me know! Hope you enjoyed our second weekend of coverage.
